CEDAR BLUFF TO HOST "SHOWCASE KANSAS" JULY 9-10
Free Park Entrance Days will showcase Kansas-made products
PRATT -- As the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) celebrates its 100th anniversary, Cedar Bluff State Park will join the festivities July 9-10 with Free Park Entrance Days and "Showcase Kansas," an event to exhibit
Kansas-made products to park visitors. Event organizers hope that by showcasing and encouraging Kansas manufacturing -- from food products to lawnmowers -- they can help stem the migration of talented entrepreneurs, and the jobs they create, from the state. Such exposure will encourage all park visitors -- resident or nonresident -- to buy more Kansas products.
Kansas-based businesses and individuals will display their wares, and entertainment and kids events are planned, as well. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
While park visitors will not have to pay vehicles entrance fees on these two days, camping and utility fees will still be in effect.
